A Few Words About My Grandpa

A few words about my Grandpa

Grandpa was a great man,
a man who stood for what he believed in
Even though at times things would try to stand in the way,
Grandpa never let the devil win
He was a wonderful husband,
father, grandpa, uncle, brother, cousin, and friend
If anyone ever needed encouragement or prayer,
they knew on Grandpa they could depend
He and Grandma have prayed and fasted for all of us
more than we'll ever know
Grandpa was a prayer warrior
He believed in the words, 'You reap what you sow'
Grandpa was a powerful and wonderful preacher,
He loved to sing, worship, and pray
I always knew I could depend on his prayers
and his love day by day

On the 19th day of June 2009,
Jesus took Grandpa up to his mansion in the sky
I'm sad because Grandpa had to leave us,
But I'm happy because I know I'll see him in the sweet by and by

Grandpa was a hero that will be missed greatly!

Dont Give Up!

Sometimes in life we face battles
the clouds look so gray
It seems like no matter what we do
It's like that day by day
That ole devil keeps coming around
putting thoughts of just giving up in your head
But just keep trusting in God
and remember and believe what he said
'I will never leave you or forsake you
I'll be with you through the end'
You can have faith in God, he'll see you through
If you let him, he will be your best friend
When the devil comes, just kick him behind you
For God's power is real
And with God's power in us, we have power over sin
and the HolyGhost we can feel
Sometimes things fall in our path
and it seems everything goes wrong
But remember God is here to help us
And if we'll just hold on, God's making us strong
So if the devil tries to make you give up
Just believe in God and pray and the devil has to flee
So when you face problems in life
Just always remember PRAYER IS THE KEY
The storms in life are gonna come
and the strong winds will blow
But don't give up, just pray and believe in God
and everything will have to go
